Tour Highlights
Morning: Pick up at Hanoi Old Quarter to transfer to Nghia Lo.
-Visit Duong Lam Ancient Village, a National Cultural Monument with the unique architecture of ancient houses, historical temples, and ancient Confucianism culture. Stop at a local house for a delicious lunch. Then take a rest with a short nap.
Afternoon: Enjoy the peaceful vibe of rural countryside with beautiful paddy fields and the tea farm while witnessing the corn or maize amongst the karst limestone outcrops. After the tours, stay overnight in a traditional stilt house of a Thai family in Nghia Lo.

Day 2: Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai
Morning/ Afternoon: Wake up amongst the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere in the countryside. Boost up the energy with a delicious breakfast. Complete the check-out procedure after that. Hit the road to visit Nam Co village and observe the traditional customs and daily life of the H’Mong people. Drive to Mam Soi and La Pan Tanterrace rice fields. You can take a short walk to the higher point and admire the unobstructed view of the area.
Evening: Savor the unique cultural dishes with a cozy dinner prepared by local people. Spend the night in a Homestay in Kim Noi Village.
Day 3: Mu Cang Chai – Sapa
Morning: Get ready for a tour day with a delectable breakfast. You will be picked up, and the driver will take you from Mu Cang Chai through Tan Uyen and then to Sapa. Enjoy the stunning scenery of rural countryside along the road with impressive mountains and tranquil rice fields. Have lunch in Sapa, then relax in your hotel.
Afternoon: Free time to explore Sapa for the rest of the day.
Day 4: Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Hoang Su Phi
Morning: Arrive in Bac Ha market and begin your morning exploration.
-Experience primitive characteristics of traditional trading culture between different minority groups in this colorful market, covered with different costumes.
NOTE:
Bac Ha market is open every Sunday. You will visit another market if it is not open. After the tour, have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit the Palace of Hoang A Tuong, an awe-inspiring architectural building with a curious mixture of baroque and oriental design. Reach Ban Phung village after driving up a small mountain road. Have a chance to see the La Chi ethnic people. Admire their traditional costume with black knee-length skirts and jackets, with a little delicate colored embroidery. Descend to Hoang Su Phi for dinner. Overnight at your homestay.
Day 5: Hoang Su Phi – Ha Giang
Morning/ Afternoon: Continue your amazing trip with a visit to Tan Su Phin Pass and Cong Troi Pass, the two most dramatic passes in the North of Vietnam. Do sightseeing in the magnificent views and take some wonderful photographs.
-Have lunch at the local restaurant on the way to Ha Giang.
Evening: Stay overnight at a stilt house of Tay people.
Day 6: Ha Giang – Dong Van – Meo Vac
Morning: Transport to Dong Van via Cong Troi pass, then Yen Minh. Visit the King’s palace in the H’mong ethnic village of Sa Phin, which was built in the early 20th century. Explore Karst Plateau Geopark in Dong Van, a fascinating area featuring vast areas of limestone, spectacular mountain scenery, and the richness of ethnic minorities’ culture. Have lunch in one of the ancient houses around the old market area. You have free time to wander around the old market area and enjoy the colorful clothes of local people.
Afternoon: Trek through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam with stunning views from the river valley. Overnight stay in Meo Vac.
Day 7: Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Cao Bang
Morning/ Afternoon: Visit Meo Vac, a small town where many ethnic groups like Tay, Dao, H’mong, and Lo Lo live and work. If you get there on Sunday morning, you can visit the local market where local people sell handmade clothes and make indigo-dyed jackets on old sewing machines in colorful ethnic customs. Have lunch at a restaurant in Bao Lac. Visit the Nung ethnic people in Pac Rang to see how they make farm tools and blacksmiths. Have dinner and stay a night at a local Nung ethnic house.
Day 8: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be Lake
Morning/ Afternoon: Have breakfast and then travel to Cao Bang, where you will explore Ban Gioc waterfall, one of the most majestic and beautiful places in the Northern mountainous area. Do sightseeing and take beautiful photos of the stunning waterfall. If you are lucky to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall between September to December, this is the best time to admire its majestic beauty. Head toNguom Ngao “Tiger Cave”, a sight to behold and remember with amazing rock formations and stalactites of various shapes. Drive to Ba Be National Park and enjoy the peace of the National Park.

Day 9: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi
-Recharge energy with breakfast. Then trek to the rice fields, Bo Lu boat station. Enjoy the refreshing atmosphere in Ba Be Lake on a 3-hour boat cruise. If interested, you can jump into the lake to swim.-Have lunch at the local house before being transferred back to Hanoi.
