Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Hoang Su Phi
Morning: Enjoy your breakfast in Hanoi before your driver picks you up at 08:00 to transfer to Hoang Su Phi in Ha Giang province. On your approach to Ha Giang, you’ll pass through some of Vietnam’s most beautiful scenery. Sightsee rice terraces carved into the hillsides and rock formations separated by spectacular canyons. Come across ethnic minorities who survive mostly on farming rice in terraced fields ake a short break for lunch.
Afternoon: Check-in at Pan Hou Village Ecolodge and the Chay River Valley when you arrive. Fill your belly with local food such as Com Lam (rice in bamboo tube), carp, rat meat, and horse intestines. Experience an overnight stay in Hoang Su Phi.
Day 2: Hoang Su Phi
Morning: Wake up early and taste the signature breakfast in Ha Giang. At 08:00, start your trekking journey under the guidelines of your tour guide. Stroll to Nam Hong to see the terraced rice fields and the locals’ amazing crafts. Eat lunch in the home of Man Ta Pan ethnic minority people around.
Afternoon: Observe the local life here, then return to Pan Hou through Giang Thuong. You can admire a stunning view of the mountains and bamboo forests along the way.
-Enjoy dinner at Pan Hou and relax overnight among the beautiful nature of Pan Hou.
Day 3: Hoang Su Phi – Ha Giang
Morning: Wake up early with the fresh air and get your nutritious breakfast. Continue your trip to Ha Giang to take in the scenery of this beautiful mountainous area and meet more ethnic minorities here.Eat lunch at a local restaurant when you get to Ha Giang.
Afternoon: Travel to Tien Thang village outside of the city after a brief rest. Explore this home to the Tay ethnic group, who have kept their identity, cultural customs, and architecture intact. Experience the night in a traditional stilt home in Tien Thang Village.
Day 4: Ha Giang – Dong Van
Morning: Complete your breakfast quickly before discovering Dong Van and Meo Vac. Those destinations are in a secluded areas with rough mountains and lovely hill tribal communities. Have a great lunch and take a nap after the exciting trekking tour.
Afternoon: Head to Sa Phin, whose historic H’mong royal residence is a popular tourist destination. The H’mong King Palace was built 8 years with more than 10 buildings and adorned with holy animal patterns such as dragon and phoenix. Admire and try wearing the colorful clothing of the hill tribe people with the spectacular alpine backdrop. Go back to your hotel and rest in your room after an energetic trip. Recover yourself with delicious local dishes.
Day 5: Meo Vac – Ba Be lake
Morning: Get your breakfast and prepare your package for today’s journey. At 08:00, transfer to Ba Be National Park, where you will see the wild beauty of the tropical forest in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Learn about the Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minorities in Meo Vac.They have maintained their historical and cultural customs for generations, and their clothing distinguishes them from other people.
Afternoon: Trek on the roads to Ba Be, which are rocky and zigzag across the highlands. Get the opportunity to meet individuals from many ethnic groups, including the Hmong, Dao, Tay, and Nung, and learn more about their lives and cultures. Reach Ba Be in the late afternoon. After getting your dinner at your hotel or eateries near there, relax in your private area.
Day 6: Ba Be National Park
Morning: Start the morning trip at 08:00 by going on a boat excursion to Ba Be National Park. Sightseeing the Nang River flows through Puong Cave, which is a major cave in the park’s northwestern corner. The main cave is around 300 meters long and more than 50 meters high. Visit the Dau Dang waterfall, which is made up of a series of rapids that span almost a kilometer and are near the Nang River. Enjoy your lunch and take a nap.
Afternoon: Pay a visit to Widow Island, a tiny, cone-shaped islet near the southern lake’s center. Kayaks will be available on board for exploring tiny streams and lagoons. Return your homestay in Ba Be and stay overnight.
Day 7: Ba Be – Hanoi
Morning: Have breakfast, enjoy a peaceful life in the village, say goodbye to the host family, and travel back to Hanoi. See beautiful landscapes along the winding road dotted, the lush green tea gardens, palm trees, and stilt houses of the local ethnic minority peoples.
